Team Training for Companies

Athletic training for the office worker.

One coached hour a week at Hafnia-Hallen for up to 10 people, run the way we run it for professional athletes and scaled to people who sit all day. Every session is tracked. Every month has a challenge, and the top 3 for showing up and for progress get named. You get the summary.

Coached group session at Hafnia-Hallen, Copenhagen

The problem

Your staff lacks cohesion, a shared culture and a challenge to rally around. Groups that overcome something hard together are tighter.

For whom

The person who runs the office and wants to invest in culture and health, not another afternoon out.

How we do it

One coached hour a week. Every session tracked, a challenge every monthly block, the top 3 in each category published to the team, and a summary for you.

The problem

What the Friday bar does not fix.

A team that only meets in meetings.

People share a calendar and a coffee machine. They have never done anything hard side by side.

A wellbeing budget that buys gym cards.

Paid for, forgotten. No coach, no plan, no reason to go on a Tuesday.

Team events that are fun once and change nothing.

A padel afternoon is a good day out. It is not a challenge, and nobody gets better at it.

A shared challenge with a scoreboard is the thing people come back to.

The program

A challenge every month. A top 3 the whole office sees.

Confidence is built by doing a hard thing and seeing the result. That is how we build athletes, and it is how we build a team. So the program runs on challenges, and the board rewards the two things a team needs most: turning up and getting better.

A challenge every block

Each monthly block has a focus: a lift, a sprint, a carry, a conditioning test. Everyone trains it. Everyone is tracked.

Every session tracked

Loads, times and attendance go into the app during the session. No spreadsheets, no guessing.

Top 3, published

At the end of the block we publish the top 3 in every category we focused on. The team sees who did it.

Rewards for showing up and improving

Attendance is a category. Progress is a category. The biggest improvement wins, not the biggest lift, so the person starting from zero can beat the gym regular.

Cohesion, not competition. Nobody is ranked on how strong they walked in.

Evidence

What the research says.

The studies behind the offer, with the sample sizes. Read them before the call.

43% fewer bad days

Adults who exercised reported 43.2% fewer days of poor mental health a month than those who did not. Team sports had the largest association of any activity.

Chekroud et al., 2018, The Lancet Psychiatry, n = 1.2 million

26% less stress in a group

People who trained in a group cut perceived stress by 26.2% and improved physical, mental and emotional quality of life. Those who trained alone saw smaller gains.

Yorks, Frothingham and Schuenke, 2017, Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, n = 69

Fewer sick days

Staff given 2.5 hours a week to train during work hours kept or raised their productivity and had lower sickness absence than the control group.

von Thiele Schwarz and Hasson, 2011, Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, n = 177

Better on training days

On the days employees trained at work they rated their mood, time management and output higher than on the days they did not.

Coulson, McKenna and Field, 2008, International Journal of Workplace Health Management, n = 200

Less job stress

A meta-analysis of workplace physical activity programmes found better fitness (d = 0.57), lower job stress (d = 0.33) and better attendance (d = 0.19).

Conn et al., 2009, American Journal of Preventive Medicine, 38,231 participants

Strength lifts mood

Two meta-analyses of resistance training found lower depressive symptoms (effect 0.66, about 1 in 4 people helped) and lower anxiety (effect 0.31), whatever the starting fitness.

Gordon et al., 2018, JAMA Psychiatry; Gordon et al., 2017, Sports Medicine

Questions

What the office asks first.

How many people can join?

Up to 10 people a session. That is the number one coach can score and correct in an hour.

What if someone has never trained?

Everyone trains the same session at their own loads. Progress is measured against your own start, so the beginner can top the board.

Is it a competition?

It is a team challenge. The board rewards turning up and improving, so nobody is ranked on how fit they were on day one.

Is it safe for people who sit all day?

Yes. Loads are set per person, the coach is on the floor for every rep, and the first session sets each person's baseline. The same rules we use with professional athletes.

How do I know it is working?

You get a monthly summary: attendance, each person's progress, the top 3 in every category, and what comes next.

Where and when?

Hafnia-Hallen, Copenhagen SV, on weekdays. Mornings suit us best, and we agree the time on the call. 10 minutes from Teglholmen and Sluseholmen.

What does it cost?

It depends on the team size and whether you add the app program. You get a quote on the call, before the taster session.

The first step

A 15-minute call, then a free taster session.

A call with whoever runs the office, then a free taster session for the team. If it is not for you, it cost an hour.
